Together, we are facing a truly unprecedented situation. The global coronavirus pandemic is affecting all of our families, our businesses, our communities, and our way of life. During this time, I wanted to reach out to see how you and your family are doing, and to share with you how we’re approaching the situation at Burasari Group with hopes that the spread of the coronavirus will be brought under control in the next few months and that the impact of this pandemic will recede.
First and foremost, our hearts go out to you anyone who’s been impacted by the virus, either directly or indirectly. Our thoughts are especially with those who are sick, to whom we extend our heartfelt wishes for a full recovery. And we’re truly inspired by the selfless healthcare workers around the world who are on the front lines working tirelessly to care for people in need.
Secondly, we will continue to stand strong with our employees, guests, the local community and the nation with the purpose to supporting everyone in various ways. We are committed to sustainability in an environmental as well as a business context. We believe that our long-term success is linked to the success of the communities in which we live and work. We also approach sustainability in a way that makes business sense where possible. We have initiated ‘We Care for Our Community – Meal Box” campaign from 23rd March’20 onwards, to provide assistance to those who are facing the financial difficulties by offering food at sustainable price at THB 24 per box in Bangkok.
While in Laos, Vientiane at La Seine Hotel by Burasari, we have initiated a fundraising campaign, the ‘We Care Take Away Meal’, every 25% of the price will contribute to the purchase of medical supplies to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, in Luang Prabang, we have witness hill-tribe workers that are struggling to support the family; working daily with hardship. Therefore, we have created the BRG Organic Farm at the back of our Burasari Heritage Hotel for hill-tribes and those that needs support to pick vegetables at no cost. So that everyone can have a meal at their tables every day.
Lastly, by following the declaration of the state of emergency which was declared in Thailand on 26th March 2020 until 30th April 2020 with some hotel operational restriction including self-insolation, we use this time to plan constructively for the rebound by focusing on the activities that will support the long term business goal by reinventing the hotels’ operations, adapting the innovative technology, investing in strategic tools to provide more streamlined and conventional service to our guests, implementing employee self-development program at home, and increase the level of staff training virtually to ensure that we will be able to deliver a high level of service standards with warmth and care to our guests.
We will be back better than ever, delivering you the best experience “home away from home” across all of our properties; Shanghai Mansion, W22 Hotel, Burasari Phuket, Island Escape by Burasari, Burasari Heritage and La Seine Hotel.
